What is a stretch display and where is it used?

A stretch display is a screen with an unusually wide aspect ratio — typically somewhere between 3:1 and 8:1 — designed to fit spaces where a standard 16:9 screen would be impractical or visually inappropriate. Common applications include above service counters, along menu rails, on pillars, in transport environments and at shelf-edge in retail.

Are unconventional display formats more expensive than standard screens?

Specialist format screens do typically carry a premium over standard displays, but the cost differential is usually modest relative to the installation and content infrastructure around them; and the impact they deliver in the right environment consistently justifies the difference.

Can you create bespoke shaped LED or display installations?

Yes. Our LED and display partners offer fully bespoke modular configurations including curved, angled, circular and shaped LED panels that can be designed to fit specific architectural requirements.

Do stretch and shaped displays work with standard content management systems?

Yes, with appropriate content configuration. We manage the content production and scheduling for unconventional format screens as part of our content management service, ensuring content is created in the right dimensions and delivers the intended visual impact on the specific screen format.
