In many high-footfall situations, a freestanding display positioned exactly where attention is highest will outperform a wall-mounted screen every time.
Freestanding display applications
Perfect for high traffic areas
Not every environment has a suitable wall.
Freestanding digital displays; totems, digital A-boards and portable display units; give you complete flexibility in where you place your digital signage. They can be repositioned as your space evolves, deployed in locations that wall-mounted hardware can’t reach, and installed without the infrastructure work that fixed mounting requires. In temporary or seasonal settings, they provide the same professional digital presence as a permanent installation, without the commitment.
Our freestanding range includes both indoor and outdoor options, all designed with a sleek, understated aesthetic that complements any space. Whether you need to showcase menus, highlight promotions, provide wayfinding, or share key information, these displays give you a dynamic, professional platform that’s easy to update and hard to ignore.
Entrance and reception areas: A freestanding totem at an entrance point creates an immediate, high-impact brand and communications statement — without competing with the architectural design of the space or requiring wall mounting near key features.
Hospitality venues, fanzones and event spaces: In environments where layout changes between events, freestanding units give you the flexibility to position communication where it’s needed on any given day; directing footfall, promoting offers, or carrying sponsor content exactly where audiences are concentrated.
Hospital corridors and healthcare environments: Freestanding screens in healthcare environments can be positioned and repositioned to serve wayfinding, patient information and health promotion needs without requiring infrastructure works in clinical or sensitive areas.
Retail and pop-up environments: Digital A-boards and mobile displays bring the flexibility of temporary retail environments together with the content capability of permanent digital signage. Updated remotely and repositioned as and when needed.
Outdoor café courtyards and hospitality terraces: Outdoor-rated freestanding units bring digital menu and promotional capability to outdoor service areas, where weather-resistance and visibility in natural light are as important as content quality.
Our freestanding solutions are trusted by smaller independents and multinationals alike; from Social Impact Coffee to Sodexo Live!.
General specs
Our freestanding display solutions, at a glance:
What is the difference between a digital totem and a digital A-board?
A digital totem is a fixed-base freestanding display unit — typically portrait orientation, 50″ to 65″+ in screen size, in a slim professional enclosure. A digital A-board is a shorter, more portable unit closer in form factor to a traditional A-board sandwich board, designed for outdoor and entrance use and easy repositioning. Both are available with touch-screen options and outdoor-rated variants.
Can freestanding displays be used outdoors?
Yes. Our freestanding range includes outdoor-rated options with IP-rated enclosures, anti-reflective glass and temperature control systems suitable for year-round outdoor use in the UK climate.
Do freestanding displays need a constant power connection?
This depends on the type of display. Digital totems generally require a constant power connection, whereas digital A-boards are battery-powered and only require charging at the end of the day.
Can freestanding displays be used as interactive kiosks?
Yes. Freestanding units are available with capacitive, gesture-activated or IR multi-touch screens, enabling interactive applications including wayfinding, self-service information, ordering and product browsing.
